And now for some photos…
Some pretty flowers near the Ancient Agora
Yours truly with the Parthenon in the distant background. 🙂
Some very Greek-looking buildings that I liked.
We spent Saturday at the market in Plaka square, Athens' city center. Here's a shot of one of the busy streets!
Our last meal in Athens! Pasticcio-yum.
Athens Wild Fires
Theater at the Acropolis... the Herod Atticus Odeon
These dogs are everywhere around Athens. This one was on the steps up to the Acropolis.
The rooftop pool at our hotel in Athens. If you look close you can see the Parthenon in the background all lit up at night.
My first time to the sea. 🙂
Us girls had our picture taken with the 'live music' at a Greek restaurant in the city center!
Herod Atticus Odeon with the Parthenon lit up in the background--very pretty at night!
We finally arrived at our apartment in Roma this afternoon, about 4:00pm our time (9:00am at home) and it’s lovely! I’ve posted some pictures from Athens here, I’ll put another post up later so you all can see where I’ll be living for the next four months. Can’t believe I’m really here!
(The pictures are a little out of order, but there’s really no particular order I guess. Enjoy!)
